Is Your Pen Personal?

Have you ever owned personalized pens? I had some friends who had quite a fetish for new pens (actually I'm partial to them myself) and I thought they would make an excellent gift. I've got a major family birthday coming up, so maybe that should go on the list. Of course, you have to choose the right pen to personalize. For me, it would be something sleek with purple ink.
