Is anything ever free? Places offer lots of things for free but is it really? How would they make money if it was?

Buy one get one free is a good example of this. You think that it is a good offer because you get one free but the thing is would you have really purchased the item in the first place if it wasn't free?

I think in the most case people wouldn't have bought the item if it wasn't on the deal so although you think you are getting something for free you are not really as you have spent money to purchase it.

Another good point is the lottery and competitions. Nine times out of ten you have to pay to enter. Be it paying for a lottery ticket, phoning the company up. If it was really free how would they be earning enough to constantly give it away?

So think to yourself next time you think you are getting something for free are you really?
