Iran, Nukes, & My Naivete

I may be naive, or simply the product of too much psychologizing. Yet, I truly don't fully understand this issue.

WHY IS IT OK FOR SOME COUNTRIES TO HAVE NUCLEAR CAPABILITIES, BUT NOT OTHER COUNTRIES?
