Sex really does sell on the internet. How do I know this? Easy, you found and are reading this article.

Everyone has heard it time and time again "sex sells", but I was really surprised just how many people would visit a web page just because it was tagged with the word “sex�.

A post was recently made on my blogging site, www.justapickle.com, titled "I thought that I was having sex with someone else". An interesting title and an interesting post but this is not what attracted the visitors, well not entirely.

On reviewing the traffic logs for the site I found that a disproportionate percentage of visitors to www.justapickle.com on the day the blog post was made arrived at the site by following the "sex" tag from bookmarking sites like Techorati.

So I decided to do a little experiment by putting together this article to see if it had the same effect. So did you find yourself reading this because it was interesting or because you thought that I had something to do with sex?
