Again the question appears.
Setting a goal is just more than a motivation. It shows how serious you are with the business. Never mind that this will only be your secondary income, or just for a little extra pocket money, or just to win a cruise to somewhere with your family.
A goal is a goal. It will bring you somewhere, if not to your destination. After some time, your dedication may seem to pay off even though you are still quite a distance from that dream cruise you are after.
What goals to set?
Ask yourself, (in a quiet surrounding) what do you really want from this business?
Is it -
- money
- more time with your loved ones
- a flexibility lifestyle
- that you hate your day-job so much, so starting an internet business is an alternative
Whatever your reasons are, just bear in mind, you are the one who says so. Nobody can read your mind. Others may claim to know you, but they do not know what you are thinking at all.
Check to see if the goals you have set:
- reflect your self-worth
- able to make you feel happy for a long time
- able to help yourself and your community
in the long run
Setting goals is not like waiting for inspirations. There is no such thing like writers' block. It is a very serious time to think and search your mind for the 'something' that will push you when you feel like giving up. When life is down, goals are like living saving buoys.
So, think again and again. A set of goal is not just for the next few days or years. It has to last a business lifespan. Then, you can say...... these are the goals you want.
