Today, I'm going to do my best imitation of Glenn Reynolds (not a mean-spirited one either) in posting a series of short comments on stories, the same way Instapundit does. I don't have a whole lot to say about any story. I've got a little bit to say about a lot of stories:

Well, I hope this guy-er-girl-er-guy makes up his mind about his gender before putting British taxpayers through another operation. According to the story, only 5,000 people in England have had the surgery which makes me wonder why its considered a "movement" of any sorts.

I'm glad how this story about the run-away cow turned out. The Cow's wild escape from a slaughterhouse has earned it some respect, so it'll live out its days in peace. I'm so happy. This story really moooooved me.

Good news on attitudes towards obesity. Only 24.1% of the population find people who are overweight less attractive than those who are not. 20 years ago it was the majority. Good news. I think fatness is really a cultural thing and we may be more healthy of a culture if an unrealistic expected isn't held up as idea. If people lose weight, it should be for health (or to be able to buy normal sized clothes), not to fit into someone else's definition of attractive.

I'm as Pro-Life as anyone but the lady in Phoenix who tried to justify her using the car pool lane because of her unborn child was wrong. As the judge pointed out, the idea with car pooling is to reduce the number of cars on the road and have more space being filled by others in vehicles. They want less emissions and cleaner cities. With respect to the woman, where else was her unborn child going to travel
