Fantastico makes it super easy for anyone to set up a WordPress blog. And just what is Fantastico? It's a script library that lets you set up a number of services for your website, including a shopping cart, forum, wiki, guestbook, or a blogging platform like WordPress. In this case, we simply want to use Fantastico to install WordPress.

The only catch is that your web host has to offer Fantastico. Fortunately there are many hosts that come with Fantastico, chief among them being A Small Orange, BlueHost, and Midphase. I highly recommend A Small Orange.

How to install WordPress with Fantastico:

First, log into your web host's control panel and look for Fantastico. It should most likely be listed under a section for software and/or services. Be on the look-out for Fantastico's blue smiley face.
Once you're on the Fantastico screen, look to the left sidebar for WordPress. It should be listed under blogs. Select it.
Provide an administrative user name, password, and email account password. Everything else is optional and can be tweaked later on. The user name and password are what you'll use to log into your WordPress blog later. Make up an email account password and don't worry about it: The email configurations are only useful if you plan on posting to your blog via email.
Click on the "Install WordPress" button. You'll be taken to a second screen that will give you a short synopsis of the installation details. Click on the "Finish installation" button to wrap it up.

And that's it: Fantastico will spew out a little message about the successful installation, then provide a link that will take you to the WordPress login screen. The URL for logging into your blog will just about always be http://www.yourdomain.com/wp-admin
