My seven year anniversary is coming up. We live in southern California and we want to go somewhere special to celebrate the weekend. My idea of a special weekend is going to see Hootie and the Blowfish twice in the same weekend. Needless to say, that's not her idea of a good weekend. I think what she wants to do is go somewhere nice and get away from everything, including her parents. We might go to a California bed and breakfast inn somewhere around here. Since the nearest state border is about four hours away from here, we're pretty much limited to staying in California if we are only planning a weekend getaway. A bed and breakfast would be good. I just need a place to get away from the in-laws. They can't stand me and the feeling is, at the least, mutual. I don't know what the problem is...they're the only two people in the entire world that have a problem with me. It wouldn't be a problem if it was just the typical "you're not good enough for my daughter" type of thing, but it goes far beyond that. They would be happy if we got a divorce. In fact, they've even tried to talk my wife into that option a few times.

Anyway, I'm getting off topic. Anniversary weekend in a California bed and breakfast is probably the best idea. Turn the cell phones off, leave the laptop at home and don't leave a forwarding number. That sounds good to me.
