I'm REMOVING YOU from my BUDDYLIST!!!

I cant figure out how to add to my buddylist. Can you help me out?

let's say you wanted to add me to your buddylist -

look at the top of my blog where it says "realitycheck" in blue,

if you select my name you will be taken to a screen where you can review all my info - all of my blogs, my buddies, my interests, etc.

it will then say "add realitycheck" to my buddylist?

you just select yes!

you can do this with any bloggers name that is highlighted like that.

I enjoyed this blog. I've been in situations where I wanted to "remove" a buddy, but it wasn't here. It was on a forum, and it's really awkward. I thought the enemy list idea was pretty funny, but I'm not sure I'd want the list of people who get on my nerves to be viewed by anyone who reads my profile, not that there aren't a few bad attitudes out there that might deserve it.

Ok, now my Buddy List confessions -- I generally only add people who...

have left me a comment :-/ lol...

Yes, it's true! Leaving a comment on my one of my blogs is a sure-fire way to get me to notice you AND your blog. Now, I don't ALWAYS do this.. but it's how I started adding people anyway. ;-)

Then, once you're on my buddy list, I start checking out your blogs every day, leaving comments, etc. etc...

So, yeah, I always check out my buddies work first, then if there's time I read random, INTERESTING blogs...

As far as removing people... I haven't done any removing here, but I have on other sites. It's uncomfortable, and sometimes the person you're removing has pissed you off and knows it's coming... but hey... you can't like everybody, right?

But Realitycheck, you are one of my favorite bloggers and your blogs never fail to make me think, smile OR make me jealous (for being so damn good!) ;-)

When I wrote this I thought it's going to be funny - either people are going to be removing me from their lists for such a stupid blog or they're going to add me out of fear that I'll remove them from mine!

Ya know, people don't always have to agree with me to make me like them either. Sometimes someone who just raises good point is appealing.

What if there was a "Buddy Swap", like "I'll trade you a Gom Jabber and a Realitycheck for your paintedladybug" - kinda like in Monopoly? That would put a whole new twist on things, wouldn't it?

but figured I'd look too much like a brown-noser if I did. :-/

What is the rule for something like that? Is it expected or not?

Um, I'm not sure. Is it kinda like if you plan to stop and get a bagel before work, you buy the boss one too?

Other people can actually see your buddy list? How do you know whether someone has added you to their buddy list?

I hope I feel better too! I think it's strep throat. I called the doctor yesterday to make an appointment and the lady said, "I can fit you in on Wednesday at 3:30pm, is that all right?"...Why the hell would I want an appointment for Wednesday? It was Friday when I called! By Wednesday I'll probably be better!

Anyway, here's a breakdown of "the buddylist" -
If you look under your account section you will see "My buddy list" and a "Buddy of" list. Yes, anybody who chooses to look at your main page can do so. For example, if you click on my name you will see all of my junk.
In my response to Theclassy1 (above) I mentioned how to add a buddy. If somebody adds you to their list you will get a message the next time you log on. It will say, "realitycheck has added you to her buddylist".

I have no buddies. :( I feel so rejected all of a sudden.

I have buddies on my other username(s), though, so that's okay.

If you go to your "my account" section you can see who's added you.

I thought you were going to remove me when I did not remember you are a bartender

Brenda - I'm sure you'll have like 40 buddies after today. You'll be the "Buddy Queen". People will read your profile and be envious of how many buddies you have.

James - Yea, I though about removing you. I was really debating it, but then I thought - "who am I goin' to go to for insider Piston info?" so I decided not to.

Thanks for the add and the mention, but I honestly didn't expect it. I add people who interest me for one reason or another, and I never expect it to be reciprocated. I guess I don't see it so much as a friendship as a "Hey everyone! This person is consistently pretty cool." And to me it doesn't mean I think anyone not on the list is not cool. I dunno. I used to worry about it and whether they would list me also, but now I don't care. I'm too old to go through the high school experience all over again. lol So add me or don't add me- I'll still think your writing is worth reading.

Which reminds me, there are a few people I need to add.

The whole idea of it being "high school-ish" is what makes it so great!

Well I appreciate you not removing me. On another note, it's funny that you call me James, which is my real first name but a name I have never gone by and a name I kind of hated when I was younger. I have always been called by my middle name. It's okay that you do this. I mean how else would you refer to me. Just a casual observation.

I am sorry. I did not exactly assume she was a stripper, but I did ask after she said she worked in a strip club. I see her thumbnail, which is (how can I not be disrespectful because I like RC) kind of provacative and when she said that, I did kind of jump to a conclusion. It's funny because RC used to comment on my blogs when first got on bloggerparty, but I didn't really pay close attention to her pic. I was just like that's pretty cool that a woman is interested in my content. Then one day I looked closely and I was like Whoa.

Because I simply like to have buddies... LOL:) I think I probably have a LOT more in my buddylist that I add--- I do not take it to mean that those whom I add should add me. I just like people .. I put then IN. That's it.

So have you added anyone to your buddy list then later regreted it?
