I'm an Expecting Model!

ModelMom's picture

Good news! I just got a contract with Expecting Models in New York! So hopefully, this pregnancy will not leave me broke like the last one did. They seem really excited to work with me and are just a really nice group of ladies, professional and proactive. So far I am really impressed with their level of communication and work ethic. Of course, as with all modeling, there is no promise that I will get any work out of this. It all depends on what the clients are looking for, but I feel like I am in really good hands with EM. Wish me luck! My bank account is pretty much non existant at this point, and living from my husband's paycheck to paycheck doesn't allow for much baby girl shopping! I'll keep you all updated on what happens......send me working vibes please! :-)

YAY!

Congratulations! I'm so excited for you! It's like the only job that people hire you for BECAUSE you are pregnant, lol. Good luck!

thanks Brenna!

i know!!! and it is the only modeling work where they actually expect you to look like a REAL woman too! LOL! i had to take digital shots in a bikini so that they could see what i am really looking like, ....but being preggo and doing the shots was so weird! i felt like i should be sucking in my stomach but actually i had to stick it out as much as possible! LOLOL!!

oh, bikini shots. Oh my.

I hope they don't have much bikini modeling for women 35.5 weeks along. 'Cause I am NOT a pretty picture right now. I guess maybe with A LOT of photoshopping...

My son has started to find my stomach funny. He was admiring my belly button the other day, which is of course quite the "outy" right now. And I've got some little blond hairs on my belly which he noticed and pointed out (how thoughtful).

Sigh.

LOLOL! it is amazing how observant a toddler can be! your son is hilarious! my son had a lovely moment for me too the other day....i have been really bad about keeping my brows in shape (although mow with EM repping me , i am gonna have to get back on the ball!) and my son likes to poke around on my face.....well, he grabbed my eyebrows and yells "monkey!" what the heck?

our sons would make quite the duo. LOLOLOL!

monkeys & poo

*sigh* my husband always laughs & says to enjoy these little terms of "endearment" because in about 10 years it'll be "i hate you mom, you've ruined my life!" followed by a door slamming. so i guess being called a monkey or a poop is bittersweet if i look at things that way. :-P

True...

And it could be worse - we could have those kids from Maury or whatever that are swearing at us already.

i cant even imagine...

and i know it is pretty inevitable to have my kids someday come out with some whooper like "f--- off" (although i never did to my parents....at least not to their faces...lol!) since kids at school seem to develop fouler mouths at earlier ages.....and i really dont know how i am gonna deal with that. a bridge to cross when i get to it i guess! yikes!

If you...

If you worry about all the things that can happen from babyhood to adulthood, you'll go insane. Seriously.

Congratulations!

I will wish you luck and send you job vibes. I knew a life model who continued to get lots of work through out her pregnancy. Life modelling is a little different from you dothough I suppose.
