Illegal Aliens Foe, Minuteman Offers Online Reports
The Minuteman member who appeared on Hannity and Colmes yesterday (April 17) has set up a web site
Immigration Watchdog on which he has collected stories and video clips of what really is going on vis-a-vis the current national uproar over illegal immigration.
The guy has the right idea, but he is, one, too late for any of his efforts to have much effect, and, two, sort of emulates the skinhead look when being interviewed.
But keep in mind he has only presented raw inputs from the demonstrations, and all speeches were in English so there is no dispute as to what was said. The rhetoric was explosively anti-American, anti-Anglo and pro-Latino. It used phrases like "war" and "they can't stop us" and other assorted inflammatory rhetoric.
Even as the demonstrations flashed American flags, the speakers denounced the United States and hinted at overthrow of current governments, to be replaced by a Latino government.
One guy, this website owner, can't do it alone. The media is ignoring or simply missing many of these stories -- those that see the current movement as largely benign. But it is not benign.
This web site exposes a particularly fiery brand of Mexican nationalism, the "Nation of Aztlan," which invokes incendiary, Ku Klux Klan-like dialgue in its meetings. The tone of rhetoric reminds one of what Hamas rallies say about Israel.
Just check out Immigration Watchdog and see for yourself.
