If any of you read my last entry you know how I feel about how last night's events unfolded. Im not going to engage in small talk because there are 13 NBA games, alot to talk about and alot of money to be made...potentially. Actually there are only 12 games for me. Again, if you read my previous blog you know why that is.

Lets start in the dirty dirty with Milwaukee at Atlanta. Both teams have won only 3 games in their last ten. I know the Hawks are tough in the A-T-L but I think Michael Redd is the best player on either team and TJ Ford is a pretty good point gaurd, an asset on the road.
My pick: milwaukee(-3.5) over ATLANTA

Memphis at Philly: The Sixers have been struggling as of late which is sometimes when you want to take a team, but not this time. Supposedly there is a brooding feud between AI and Chris Webber. Memphis is one of the better defensive teams in the league. I think they will do a good job at letting Iverson do his thing and take everyone else away.
My pick: memphis(-3) over PHILLY

Hornets (where the hell are they from? New Orleans, Oklahoma City, who the hell knows) at Washington: the Hornets are a good young team, but they struggle on the road. The Wizards are a bit inconsistent but like most teams in most sports are better at home than the road. Look for Arenas to drop 30 or so. If he does I guess it wouldn't exactly be a prophecy since he averages 28.
My pick: WASHINGTON(-4.5) over the hornets

New Jersey at Boston: if it weren't for home games Boston would not win. But, and I realize I am starting a potentially bad trend here by taking road favorites, I am going with the team from my home state.
My pick: new jersey(-1.5) over BOSTON

Orlando at Charlotte: Well there is no real reason for this pick. Maybe I just want to break the monotony. Just kidding. Charlotte stinks and I like the way Jamir Nelson is playing. The Franchise ought to be focused coming back from suspension.
My pick: orlando(-1.5) over CHARLOTTE

San Antonio at Miami: This game is potential NBA finals matchup, blah blah blah. I know one team who defintely won't be there even with the most dominant player in the league. Earlier this year the Spurs handled the Heat. That was without the Big Peace Maker. I keep hearing that Tim Duncan is injured, but I cant tell. Nevertheless I like Miami in this one.
My pick: MIAMI(-2.5) over san antonio

Indiana at Minnesota: well Minnesota is pretty bad these days, but Jermaine O'Neal is injured as far as know. He is listed as day-to-day so he could play. No Artest, No O'Neal, No dice. (Im watching Around the Horn and Michael Smith just blessed us with some Special Ed: "My dishes got dirty so I got cascade, when I get hot I find spot in the shade". You got to respect your elders. If you heard Camron's new diss track you would recognize I was referencing that.) Im digressing.
My pick: MINNESOTA(-6.5) over indiana

Houston at Chicago: I think this line is so small because odds makers are expecting McGrady to play. He has missed the last five games with a back spasms and is a game time decision. Doctor said he need a backiotomy. Even if he plays you gotta figure he will be a bit rusty.
My pick: CHICAGO(-6) over houston

Utah at Denver: This is a big deal for these two teams. If the Jazz wins they will move into first place in the division. Utah allows more points than they score and Denver scores alot. Carmelo is focused man.
My pick: DENVER(-4) over utah

Cleveland at Golden State: And now for my upset special of the night. Baron Davis is out of tonight's action for fighting with tough guy Luke Ridnour. How dumb is that? It might be good for the Warriors anyway. B Diddy takes too many three pointers and worse misses too many. The Cavs have loss 5 straight. LeBron should be pissed about the recent suggestion that he needs to step up and take control a little more. On another interesting note: the Cavs have the worse road record of any team with a winning record.
My pick: cleveland(+2.5) over GOLDEN STATE

Dallas at the Clippers: I think Dallas is one of the best teams in the league. They play great on the road. I like the Clips in this one simply because I think it will be close.
My pick: CLIPPERS(+4.5) over dallas

Lakers at Phoenix: No comment

Toronto at Seattle: Ray Allen will return from a 3 game suspension at the hands of Keyon Dooling. Seattle plays terrible defense. Check that, Seattle plays no defense. This might be the worse pick I make since Toronto ain't good either.
My pick: toronto(+4.5) over SEATTLE

Whew! That was alot of work. Since I neglected to make a choice in the Lakers game I will give you a bonus pick.
Bonus Pick: south florida(+8.5) over SETON HALL.

Now hurry. You only have an hour to place your bets for the early tip offs. Check in tomorrow for my NFL championship picks.
