JK Rowling has said in a very recent interview that two main characters will die. Furthermore, she hints that one may be Harry.

This is the paragraph that people are pointing to as a suggestion that Harry may die. Consider this... if Harry dies, wouldn't that mean Voldemort lives?!? What kind messed up children's book is that?!?

See, Rowling has already screwed it up, 'cause my only thought is that we need a Harry Potter death pool. Winner gets eternal bragging rights.

So, I believe that McGonnagal will be one. I'm gonna go with Snape as my other. They are major, but not MAJOR. She has hinted that Hermione and Ron go gaga for each other in the future, so I'm not ready to go with them. And I do not believe she can kill Harry. If I am wrong, I will be the first one to organize a book burning!
