I Pity the Fool

Whatever happened to the beauty of the gold chain? I remember years ago when wearing normal gold was the “in” thing. Remember Mr. T and all of his bling? He was the master of the gold necklaces, rings and all things shiny and shimmery. There have been a few others that have come along since him with similar gimmicks. Didn’t Run DMC have a bunch of necklaces hanging around their neck? I’m pretty sure at least one of them did. Flavor Flav has his own thing, too. He’s got the huge clock around his neck. I don’t get that one. But I’m sure people that were my age in the 80s didn’t get the appeal of Mr. T, either. I say bring back the look of 80 pounds of gold around your neck and the 20 pounds of gold around your fingers and wrists. And while you’re at it, bring back “The A-Team.” They just don’t make TV shows like that anymore.
