Some of you know I've been working on my own website for a business I'm launching. It has been a while since I've done any sites, although when I did them I was a master.

Well, I needn't worry. It's come back. Worse than ever it seems. Before, when I owned my own herb business, I did the website. But I also didn't have kids, and I could spend 48 hours on the computer getting every detail perfect. But now, I don't have that luxury. Plus, it's much more essential that I get my site going immediately, rather than every detail perfect.

Well, I barely had any time this last weekend, and I cranked out a decent page. But already, I am not satisfied. I have an idea that I'm working on for an upgrade, and it is AWESOME!! Really, if I can make this happen, it will really be cool. And I see no reason why it wouldn't happen.

The cool thing is, when I get focused on something, I usually dream about it. Lately, all of my dreams have been in code. Seriously, it's like the matrix inside of my brain, because I see the code for what I want to do, and how it will look when it's finished. As maddening as that sounds, it really helps. I went to bed Friday night not having a clue how to do anything. I woke up at 6:30 Saturday morning, and I had my first version of the website done by 9:30. I tweaked it by 11:30. And today, after a nap in the car, I had my theme for the upgrade.

And on a similar note, I got to see an old friend. Out of the blue, he asked me to design a webpage for him. We talked about some ideas the first day, and then the next day, he told me this:

"I used to consider myself an artist. And as an artist, I think I shouldn't ask for anything. I want you, as the artist of this site, to decide what is appropriate for me."

WOW!!! So, by the end of the night, I had the concept for him. When I told him, he seemed a little unsure, but I think he'll really like it when I finish with it.
