I am SOOO Tired of Anti-Obama E-Mail

I have been receiving an influx of e-mail messages....ALL...regarding the "evils" of Barack Obama. He is everything from the anti-christ, to unamerican, to not even being an American citizen. I finally, blew my stack.......here is my reply to a long time Republican friend of mine.......

She sent a forward titled: "It seems that Barack Obama is not qualified to be president, after all, for the following reason":

I RESPONDED: Don't vote for the man if you dislike his politics, not because of a lot of lies and false rumors. I heard too much of this hogwash already about him being the antichrist and other garbage. Any preacher or Christian for that matter that bears false witness about this man being the antichrist is NOT a Christian. In the first place the antichrist will be Jewish. The Bible is a Jewish book, with prophesy directed towards the Jewish people.

I am tired of hearing about what the Democrats have done. In the Republican Era, Gas doubled almost as soon as Bush took office and has quadrupled since. The country went through the Silverado scandal under Reagan and Bush. That fiasco which made the Bush family really really wealthy, cost the tax payers 1.6 billion dollars....Under Clinton the economy was good, gas was cheap, the budget balanced.......now....after almost 8 years of Republican rule, King George has this country owing trillions.....we are in a quagmire in the Middle East and have had over 4,100 soldiers killed for the biggest fiasco America has suffered through since the Vietnam War.

The old battle cry.....if we don't stop them there, they will be here.....hell.....they've been here and it was vigilant citizens....NOT the military that stopped it......

Are we going to fight the entire Middle East?

And what about the economy.....while you sing Bush's praise...he has not done one thing for YOU....he has favored the elite which doesn't include you or me.....Inflation is out of control....jobs are vanishing.....gas is $4.00 a gallon and climbing.....the national debt is so out of control that it will take generations to bring it back under control....that means YOUR kids and YOUR Grand Kids and their Grand Kids.........

While I was a Republican for many years....there is NO way I would vote for anyone on the ticket today. I listened to Barack Obama's speech 4 years ago and it was what convinced me this young man had a real future in politics.....so please spare me from all of the fairy tale lies and half truths being circulated around the Internet. I honestly can't believe anyone with half a brain could believe them.

SHE WROTE: "I know we don’t generally agree on political issues but I really don’t think I have ever assailed you. I certainly am not this passionate about anything not pertaining to my family, friends or Christ and Christianity. I really don’t care about Obama, I will not vote for him and I do have my own opinion not based on silly emails, but will make certain I will not forward anything else to you until after the election and hopefully you’re amiable then.

Love you and still consider you my very best and oldest friend".

I WROTE: I didn 't know my reply was going to come across this strong....I don't end a friendship over a political e-mail. I responded because I get an e-mail or two or three everyday from my republican friends who are sending forwards about the evils of Obama. I have yet to send out 1 complaining about McCain or defending Obama. All of these e-mails have to do with some sort of witch hunt or another. I thought that went out in the 17th century. None of the attacks have anything to do with his policies. They are all made up unprovable garbage meant to destroy the man through no actions of his own.

I understand he has flip flopped, but name a candidate who hasn't? I understand he attended Rev. Wright's Church, but when I get the sort of e-mails I have been receiving I can see the roots of those churches are no better. Rev. Wright sits right there on the lowest rung along with all of the white Anglo Saxon preachers who are "inventing" witch hunts and witch trials, dredging up fictitious accusations which are meant to destroy the credibility of a candidate. You can't tell me that people who forward this crud don't have that in mind when they send it.

I don't mind having a friendly political discussion based on facts. Neither the Democratic nor the Republican party is a party of honor and respect....any more.

I, personally, have chosen Democratic candidates over the last several years because I believe they do the most good for the majority of the people. I have stood by and silently watched the middle class disappear. I have seen a national debt rise to enormous proportions that will imprison generations of Americans for years to come.

I am really neither Democrat nor Republican. I am an American who wants this nation to be a nation of opportunity for everyone....not a nation divided into serfs and elitists. But that's what we are quickly becoming.

I honestly didn't think you would mind that I answered your e-mail. It is amazing to me that my friends who are Republicans and I mean staunch Republicans, cannot even stand to see what the flip side of the coin might be.

I have been appalled that some of my friends have said they will not vote for Obama because they don't want to see blacks in the White House. Pardon me, but they have been here since the 17th century and not because they wanted to be here. They are just as much a part of the making of this great nation and they have shed as much blood fighting for the same causes whites have died for, so I think it is time to share the political arena with other ethnic Americans. I could not vote for Jesse Jackson or a number of other African Americans, just because I don't agree with their policies. So, I am not voting for Obama because he is black....I am voting for him because I think he is smart adn I think he is fair.
