Otherwise known as, you should have done your own homework!

Officials today have announced that because the election is so heated this year, they are taking steps to ease the polls. They are expecting a large voter turnout, and they want to avoid the potential firestorm that is certain to happen when staunch Democrats and fierce Republicans have to meet at the polls. So in order to combat any potential problems, they have announced that they are changing the polling dates somewhat. See below for the proper voting date.

If you are voting straight party Democrat, you vote on November 7th.

If you are voting mixed ticket (some Democrat and some Republican), you vote on November 8th.

If you are voting Republican, your voting date is November 9th.

I'm posting this "helpful" information, because I'd hate to see any vote incorrectly, or on the wrong day. :D

So far it's a joke, but it's almost a good idea, isn't it? That way they can lose all the Democratic ballots at once, without having to bother sorting them out from the Republican ones. lol

Then it was worth posting it for your very meaningful, insightful reply! lol

I got my absentee ballot today. Woohoo! We actually have a guy running on the "Pirate party". I figure that nothing about politics should be sacred after that.
