I've received a number of private messages where people are asking me how I get so many readers for some of my blogs. This doesn't happen from one simple cause but instead requires a combination of efforts resulting in a cohesive Blogger Party/Google Adsense income building strategy. I will mention some of my most effective methods below, and I encourage you to steal these ideas.
1. Write lots of blogs, and write regularly. This allows you to build a regular readership. And eventually writing enough blogs results in your Blogger Party screen name appearing on the "Life of the Party" list, which has its obvious benefits. Don't write extremely short blogs, as it turns off new visitors to the site, a development that benefits none of us. Ideal length is about 200-1000 words.
2. Write lots of comments on the blogs of others. Only make nasty comments when absolutely warranted. So far I've only found one Blogger Party member who is clearly a turd floating in a toilet at an abandoned Amoco somewhere in the state of Texas. The rest of you seem really cool and I greatly enjoy reading your blogs.
3. Put direct links to your Blogger Party blogs on your personal website. And give those links very tasty titles that will make the surfer excited to click over to your Blogger Party blogs.
4. Tell your online friends about Blogger Party and give them both your referral link and a direct link to your blogs.
5. Most importantly, use the concept of "idiot bait" to your benefit. This is done by writing obviously controversial blogs that are certain to draw the ire of more reactionary and idiotic Blogger Party members. Thinking they are somehow damaging you, these members will then often give you loads of free publicity, ranting about you endlessly in comments while living with the delusion they are somehow hurting you. These people in reality are your best friends and the free negative publicity they draw to your blogs is golden. There is a certain Republican conservative Christian element that is especially susceptible to being exploited as idiot bait, and their vitriolic, hateful comments and blogs can make for some of the most effective advertising for your blogs imaginable. I've only found one person willing to take my idiot bait so far at Blogger Party. Luckily they have acquiesced to my requests to continue giving me free publicity with their hateful blogs and comments, so I can't help but give them the title of my MOST FAVORITE IDIOT and can only hope they continue making contributions to my internet cash machine.
6. Write well - it doesn't matter how extreme or controversial your blog is. In terms of driving traffic to your blogs, the crazier and more extreme the viewpoints didacted in your blogs, the better. Just don't write sloppy crap with bad spelling, poor grammar, incorrect usage, and kindergarten-level punctuation. That just scares people away, which is not what you want.
7. If someone writes a blog you especially enjoy, send them a private message telling them what you think. You might make a loyal friend and loyal reader of your blogs.
8. Write snappy titles that will make people interested...not just for your blogs but for your comments as well.
9. Stay logged into your Blogger Party account in one browser even if you're not actively using Blogger Party at that time. Visitors to the site will see you as one of the online members (usually there's just a few), and click on the link to your blogs out of curiosity.
10. Some blog topics produce Google Adsense ads that generate much more income than other blog topics. The most profitable Adsense words and phrases are in a constant state of flux, but there are plenty of places online that can give you a good general idea of what topics work best and which work worst within the Google Adsense framework.
Good luck and happy blogging!!
