HOW TO RAISE A BRAT

1. Set down rules and then give in when the child throws a tantrum.

2. Give in to whining.

3. Give the child everything he/she wants.

4. Expect nothing out of the child.

5. Center ALL coversations around the child and be sure he/she is aware of it.

6. Threaten but don't carry through.

7. Don't worry about teaching him/her manners...they'll "catch on".

8. Always assume your child is right and everyone else is wrong.

9. Don't set any boundries afterall it might inhibit his/her curiosity.

10. Continue to sit on the couch and talk on the telephone while the child is misbehaving.

11. Let the child run through stores and annoy other customers. Why should he/she worry about how other people feel?

12. Be sure to give the child ALL the money he/she needs. Don't expect them to earn any of it.

13. Let them abuse the family pets. Afterall it is just a (dog,cat,bird,turtle...etc.) they don't have REAL feelings.

14. Let the child watch anything and everything on t.v. or at the movies. They have to learn about life sometime. (Unfortuately, young children can't distinguish between the small picture and the overall lesson)

15. Cover up failures so he/she won't have to feel the pain of losing or failing.

14.

Yep. You are absolutely right.

But if you want to be like them, you'll have to emulate. -Ayria

I think that extenuating circumstances may cause some of us to do some of those things every once in a while, but making a habit of them is a recipe for a brat!

Kids Need support and boundries. Being a parent means you give them the security they need and boundries are part of it.
