How to Make Top Dollar Off ADSENSE SEARCH

Everybody who writes online is probably sick and tired of hearing about Google Adsense. As I have mentioned before, Adsense is almost becoming a bad way to monetize your site because everybody is so familiar with it. People like myself spot Google ads the second they enter a site and my eyes have become “trained” to skip over them. I have discovered that this is the same scenario with most people.
However, I have noticed that the majority of sites I visit are not taking advantage of googles other program – Google Search. Not only does Google for Search pay way better than Adsense clicks, it’s also truly beneficial to every website!

Google for Search is located in Google Adsense and can be easily set up to work with any site that you have access to your template. I love it because there’s nothing additional to sign up for as long as you already use Adsense and it pays triple what you would have gotten from waiting on those lousy clicks.

As mentioned, Adsense for Search is a great tool for your site because it allows your readers to get instant search results from YOUR site. Lets say someone enters my site, http://paidopps.blogspot.com, and they are only interested in discovering ways to make money using myspace. If I hadn’t installed Google Search, that visitor would have to manually search my site for opportunities. They may have to go through months of archives to find it. Problem being, most people aren’t going to do this. They will just exit your site and find the info elsewhere. As site owners, this is very bad! By installing Google Search, this same visitor can type in a phrase like, “Myspace Make Money” or even a single word such as “myspace” and every article I have ever written that includes this topic will appear in a separate window. Now my visitor can go directly to the article they want.

Plus, each search will bring you $.25 - $.75 cents. From my experiences, I can now make $6 in a single day just from my Google for Search, as opposed to making a few cents from Adsense clicks.

If you already have Google Adsense and want to install Search it’s super easy. Just log into your Adsense account and select the “Adsense Setup” tab.

You will now see two things – Adsense ads (the ones we’re all sick of), and below it “Adsense for Search”. Obviously, pick the second one.

Once you have selected this you will begin creating your customized search box. You want to pick the following:

1. For “Search Type”, BE SURE to select Google WebSearch + SiteSearch. If you don’t you’re just going to be having your visitors search the web, not your site and if that’s the case there’s no point in even installing this! Then enter your sites address. You CAN enter up to three different sites but it confuses people! Stick to a single site for optimum results.

2. “Search Box Style” - ***Where you see the “Sample Box” you M-U-S-T click on the thing that says “YOUR DOMAIN NAME” (or it will say your web address). If you do not select your site, your searchers will have to know to click on your web address every time. Your visitors WON’T know this and you will end up sending traffic away!

3. Skip down till you see “More Options” in a gray box. The second option reads “Opening of search results page “. Please choose “Open results on Google in a new window”. You must remember that you always want to keep readers on your site. If you have your results open in the same window and the person did not find what they were looking for they may end up leaving. Instead, you can have results open in a new window so they can just close the pop up if they didn’t find what they needed.

4. Click continue

5. You can skip this whole page if you want. It’s just designing how your pop up window will look. Or, if you insist, pick out some colors for it that match your site.

6. Continue

7. Now you’re given your code. Paste it anywhere you want your search box to appear. On Blogger, I pasted mine directly above my Google Adsense ads. I also suggest doing as I have done and type something that tells people to use the box. When typing, if you want text to appear on a new link you will have to use the or html codes.
