I spent 7 years making all of the mistakes that you are making right now. I, like you, saw the vision that my sponsor was trying to show me. I believed everything that he and his sponsor said. I quit my job and was determined to work my business full time, make millions and never have to work again. I did everything they asked me to do:

•I made a list of my 100 closest friends and family members...
•I pitched my new life changing product to everyone I knew and everyone I ever met...
•I gave away hundreds of dollars worth of Samples and promotional materials...
•I went to the local mall and practiced "The 3 Foot Rule" (Attacked every person that came within 3 feet of me and pitched them on my business)...
•I contacted old high school friends who I had not seen or talked to in years and told them I wanted to "re-connect" over lunch...
•I "tricked" my friends and family into coming to opportunity meetings with me...
•I went door to door...
•I cold called people from the local phone book...
•I called local businesses and tricked whoever answered the phone into coming in for a job interview...

And when NONE of that worked...

•I Spent THOUSANDS of dollars on leads...
•I Made 100 cold calls a day to my "Hot Opportunity Seeker Leads"...
•I Spent THOUSANDS of dollars on training courses e-books & "Proven Turnkey Systems"...
•I Tried a different Company, then another, then another
•Then I did it all again and again...

Sound at all familiar? I thought so.

I saw little bits of success. Small teams of people would sprout up, and I would work with them, train them, make 3-way calls with them, do presentations with them and proceed to work them to death the way my uplines were working me.
Soon after I had exhausted all of my leads, alienated all my closest friends and family members, I too, like all the people on my team before me, decided that it was not working out... that I must not have what it takes.

THEY said it would be sooo easy! "All you have to do is find 2 people... and then they will find 2 people... and then they will... etc. etc. and before you know it you will be sitting on a beach in the Bahamas living
the good life!"
But when none of it was working like they claimed it would I began to think "There must be something wrong with me!!!"

Right?

So there I was, alone, broke, and worst of all, broken. I thought that there was something wrong with me. My upline had recruited me on the idea that this would be "SO easy", "a piece of cake", and that he would "build my downline" for me.

Now, I am not trying to say that my initial failure was his fault. He taught me some very important things, helped me through my necessary growing and learning phases of the business. The real problems were much bigger than him. The real problems are the reasons why statistically 99% of everyone who starts an MLM business will fail and quit.
Why do you think that there are so many enemies to our business? Why do you think that most people think that MLM businesses are just "pyramid schemes"?

The reason is that that is typically how it ends up working. There are a few at the top who know some secret about how this industry really works, and they do their best to teach and train the people that they bring in. But, ultimately, they are the only ones who end up making any of the "Big Money" that we were all lured in to this business to make.
The real issue with my upline (and most likely yours) is that he was somebody's "Uncle Bob", and he was too far down the upline chain from the people who knew the strategies and techniques that it takes to find real lasting success. He was just doing what his upline (Uncle Bob) had taught him, and he, too, ended up quitting and going back to looking for a "real job".
