How to make money on E Bay , My experience

My experience with E bay is very interesting . I started selling books on E bay at throw away prices. I started selling the books on Day 1 . But after two weeks there was no order. I posted over 200 BOOKS with no sale. Then I started getting some orders without any payment. But these were cancelled later.
Then I posted some used typewriters but no there was no order . Later I tried electronic parts again ,no sales.
Then I started adding old edition books , they are doing better. But margins are bad .Now I have planned to add .Handicrafts ,Indian Sarees , Indian literature. This will be in addition to the books. But these can not make big volume...
So we should follow a multiple system so that we can earn from many sources.
One of the problem at E bay is dispatch.
