Earlier today CNN had a feature story on the worst things one could do during a job interview. As someone who's interviewed a lot of people over the years, I can tell you that I sometimes think I've seen it all, but then someone else comes along and surprises you.
In this particular story it mentions saying bad things about your previous employer, admitting you don't know a single thing about the company you're interviewing at, not asking questions, acting like you already have the job, scripted answers, and inappropriate comments.
Good stuff, and that pretty much covers the gamut. Of course I'll add telling too much about your last place of employment, especially if things went bad, and telling way too much about yourself; laughing too hard at things that aren't really funny; dressing and smelling badly (trust me, even cigarette smoke will drive an interviewer nuts if you were smoking in your car beforehand, which increases the potency in your clothes, and then you're sitting really close to the person interviewing you); stuff in your teeth; and telling the potential employer what's wrong with their company and how you plan on fixing things.
I'm betting some other folks here have interviewed some doozies; let's hope you weren't the doozy interviewee!
