how do I get through the trials in my life?

defeat the enemy

The doctor just said there is cancer through out your body, and there is little chance or hope for survival.
Some people sit there in total, utter disbelief. One’s world seems like it is crashing down. One’s life is over; at least he thinks it is over. It is all about how he approaches it.
The recently diagnosed listens to his doctor, and he takes treatment. He puts his hope in the doctor.
The doctor makes the patient take treatments of chemotherapy or radiation. When he goes back to the doctor he is told how the treatment went. If it worked, the doctor looks like a genius, but if it did not work, then the patient is in for a long road.
The patient’s health begins to get worse. He loses is hair, his appetite, his energy, and his will to live. The doctor can do less and less for the patient as his health worsens. The treatment is too powerful to overcome. It kills the good cells with the bad cells. The patient puts his faith in the doctor, and he is doomed. The doctor only knows so much about your problem. The doctor is an expert about the area the hurts you. All he can do is treat it. If the treatment does not work, then one has nowhere to go except in the ground.
Step by step, death is slowly approaching the patient. The patient is too weak and powerless to battle the power of death by himself. The patient begins to worry as he begins to realize the state he is in. His problems weigh him down, and all it does is make things worse. Instead of trying to fight, the patient loses all hope, gives in to death, and he dies.
When the same patient first hears the news about his health, he can approach it another way.
The doctor tells about the cancer. The patient lets it sink in. He has another choice, which will make his life better. The patient does not let his cancer weigh him down. He takes treatment, but he does not let the affects keep him down. He turns to God instead of the doctors for help.
He says, Here it is God. Bless my life through this trial.
So, God picks him up and carries him through the valley of the shadow of death. God is with him, and God blesses him. What seems so bad at first gets better and better as God opens up the doors for the life of the patient. The patient is happy and up beat as he does not allow the disease conquer him. When man puts in hope and faith in God, he is blessed.
Romans 5:1-5 “1 Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2 through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we boast in the hope of the glory of God. 3 Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; 4 perseverance, character; and character, hope. 5 And hope does not put us to shame, because God's love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us. “
This cancer is no “disease at all, but it is a blessing as God brings joy into one’s life in this trial. When one gets sick, he looks to God for guidance by asking Him for help through this time.
When one lies in bed and feels miserable, he can turn to God and say,
“Please get me through this day God.
As one gets up, he forgets about the way he felt some time earlier because Go is there with him.
This man is able to help the first man see the light of God and avoid the misery he once had. The second man rejoices when God tests him because he knows something good will come out of it.
Luke 1:37 “For nothing is impossible with God.
Man can conquer anything with the help of God; all he has to do is turn it all over to Him. Then ask God to bless this time, and He will.
After one goes through this time, he feels he can conquer anything with the help of God. With this attitude problems do not seem as big anymore.
James 1:2-4 “2Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. 4Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.
God makes man complete with the trials he goes through. No matter how bad it seems, man can persevere with God’s help. God blesses man. He just needs to keep his eyes open to realize it. No matter how tough it seems, never give up because God is there to help.

I feel like you wrote about me

A little over a year ago I went through cancer and am now in remission. I am only 45 years old and have a wonderful hubby and two teen daughters. I clung to my hope in the Lord and knew that He is the great physician. He gives me hope and my life is in His hands. Now that I have been able to resume my new normal level of activity, I continue to live each moment to the fullest. He has given us so many blessings, so I can give Him my life here on earth. Life is all about God, family and living for Him. Thanks so much for your post. I hope that in having a Christian presence here we can reach out to others.

Very uplifting article, Aaron.

I especially liked the part where God picks us up and carries us through the valley of the shadow of death.
