Bank repossesses house - mummy free of charge
We often read stories about various banks around the world and how heartless some can be when it comes to repossession after mortgage defaults.
But this story from Spain, the land of bull fighters and many other things is definately a little different.
A Spanish bank has repossessed a house and put it up for auction sight unseen, as they say - complete with the mummified body of the former owner who missed her mortgage payments.
The corpse was discovered by Jorge Giro, who entered the house for the first time recently after winning the auction.
The dead woman apparently had stopped paying her mortgage six years ago.
The unnamed bank which eventually repossessed her home had never bothered to look inside it.
