House Renovations

We are gutting and rebuilding our house. My husband is almost 50, I am not far behind. One thing we have to take into consideratin is how we will make it around the house in another 15 years, if we are still here.

For example, we are making sure that we leave space for stair lifts, and step-in bathtubs. We are also wondering if we shouldn't turn the garage into a second part of the house, an in-law suite, just incase we need to share the house with one of our children.

There is a lot to consider, more than 'do we want a patio or deck.
