Hotel room for cheap!

A few months ago my husband and I stayed at the Hilton in San Francisco for less than a hundred dollars a night (including taxes). The funny part of the story is that we didn't know where we were staying until we actually booked and paid for the room the room. We took this leap of faith on Hotwire.com.

If you haven't visited Hotwire. Here's how our visit went. We chose the city we wanted to visit. We were then given a map of the city and we chose an area we wanted to stay in. Hotwire then gave us a list of hotels with ratings and services offered. We were not given the name of the hotels nor the addresses. The catch was that we had to choose a hotel and pay for it before we learned the name and address. All we knew was that we were getting a four star hotel.

Needless to say, we were thrilled to find out that we were staying at the Hilton for the price of a two or three star hotel.
