La_salle_old_boys_2006_annual_dinnerThe 2006 New Year's Eve Dinner party was held in The Century Palace Chinese Restaurant The night event was packed with activities performed by old boys and guests. The live band Synergy lead us the energized baby boomers (boys and girls) danced through the music channel back to the 60's favourite songs by Connie Frances, Patty Page, Mat Moron, Frank Sinatra, Paul Anga, . Synergy Band is lead by Mr. Peter Chan who is also a La Salle Old boy. What people enjoyed most is the gathering opportunity meeting the buddies, old friends and their family members in this huge family gathering event organized by Hong Kong La Salle Old Boys' Association - Toronto.

Thanks to the people who have put their great effort in making this New Year's Eve Party a great success.

Our memory has been brought back to the old days when we sang The La Salle College School Song together: This memory is enhanced more vividly as we sang along with the School Song CD and pictures of the majestic dome of the old building La Salle College in it original Gothic form.

Spirit nought for danger caring, Hearts to conquer every ill.

2. There are famous schools in plenty, With their heroes by the score;
And they flourish high and mighty, But La Salle is something more.

3. From her lofty station pointing, To the sky's majestic dome;

When the old boys get together, They will always sing this song.

Food was excellent for the price of only C$60 which covered food, prizes, etc. There are table prizes, almost one for every one in each table. Some other big prizes such as 32" Prima Plasma TV, wine, travelling baggage, a gift coupon for dinner at Century Palace Chinese Restaurant for 10 people, etc. The grand prize is C$1,000 cash. Our table won this prize and we shared this "Lucky Money" at the moment which marked the beginning of the New Year 2007.

The party hit its climax with the countdown of the year 2006 and end around 1:00 a.m. in the morning the following New Year Day of 2007.
