A biologist, working with the National Geographic apparently, discovered a 44 pound freshwater stingray in the Mekong river. He's heard reports of 1,100 pound rays found in that river though, and that's what he's really looking for.

Whoa! I saw the pics of him posing with the one he found. That thing is huge!! But, he apparently sounded disappointed, because it's only about a 10th the size of the one he wants to find and take a picture with.
