Hollywood Garbage

Out of ten movies you watch how many of them are actually worth a damn anymore? I mean it seems like I hardly ever see a movie anymore that I thouroughly enjoy. I am sitting here typing this while Mr and Mrs Smith is on. I thought this may be a good movie because Brad Pitt is one of my favorite actos and Angelina Jolie ain't too bad to look at either, but this movie basically sucks. It's soo off the wall and has turned into nothing more than a shoot em up. The story is so weak it doesn't even work in Hollywood. Last night I watched Sin City. I'm not sure yet whether I liked that movie or not. It definitely was different, I'll give it that much. I have recently watched King Kong, great special effects but too long. The Chronicles of Narnia, I actually enjoyed this although it did seem to drag on a bit. I have watched House of Wax, awful, The Fog, bad, Constantine, actually pretty good and Guess Who - decent. But it seems like the majority of movies nowaday are total bombs. What happened to the great movies of the past. Ones that really touch you or have more in them than big explosions or sex scenes. That is what I miss, although I am not against sex scenes, but do it for the right reason, not just to throw in a sex scene so you can get some pubescent teen to come to your flic.

Agreed, completely

Movies suck. Independants are mainly the only good ones, but why doesn't it even matter anymore whether or not a movie means anything? What will anyone get out of torture, pain, abuse, or agression being flashed in front of them through creatively edited clips of the most shocking and disquisting trash ever thought of other than a sick and twisted mind that leads them to believe it's pleasurable to watch someone go through pain? Does no one understand that "enjoying" a grusome horror movie means that we "enjoy" watching people die, cry, go through pain, or lose their mind? If you don't believe me....WATCH THE NEWS!

DVD

Buy DVDs. There's a lot of cheap old DVDs that are as entertaining as anything you'll see in the theater and a lot cheaper.
