Historical Novels

I write historical novels for Enspirenpress.com. Most of my novels are set in the 1550s, Scotland/Engalnd, but I love reading books set in the 40s and 50s. I love the ideal of the life. Of course, there was a dark side, and it was hard being a woman, but that is the wonderful thing about writing fiction - you can filter out all the dark.

It is amazing how many people are in love with the past. You can buy anything from antique dresses and vintage fabrics to weapons, armour, and even recreations of the horses (Andelusian) and dogs (King Charles Cavalier Spaniel).

Our love affair with the past is something that rings deep inside us, almost primal, in its ability to make us feel alive.
