Historic sites of Taiwan

Historic sites of Taiwan can be said to be an epitome of different kinds of historic sites.Most of the buildings were constructed in the beginning of Qing Dynasty while some can be dated back to times between the end of Ming and Eastern Song Dynasty.Cheng En Men:two stories high,it was built during the reign of Guang Xu.The rostrum,with quadrate and round windows and holes,is enclosed with thick and solid walling ,resembling a solid fortress.Tere used to be WongCity here which was removed later.Cheng en men is the only old city gate with the style and features of Qing Dynasty in Tai pei city.Lu GangLong Shan Temple:It was built in the reign of Qian Long of Qing,recognized as a kind of characteristic architrcture among the temples built at the beginning of Qing Dynasty in Tai wan,whose style derives from Quanzhou.The art of stone sculpture in the temple is not only simle and unsophisticated but also exquisite,which enjoys a high reputation in the art of architecture.
