Lord Rama goes to Mithila

7.1] Who goes to Mithila?
Maharishi Vishvamitra, all sages, Rama and Lakhman
7.2] What did Vishvamitra told them along the way?
He told them about the incidents from the lives of Shiv and Parvati, birth of Kartikeya, descent of Ganga from heavan.
7.3] What more did he tell them?
He also told them about SAMUDRAMANTHAAAN[churning of the ocean by gods and demons to obtain the nectar].He also told them about 14 gems obtained from the ocean.
7.4] What did Vishvamitra told them about the deserted ashram on the way ?
He told them about Ahilya who lived there with her husband Gautaama sage. .Lord Indra got attracted towards her. Gautama who had gone for bath to river saw him coming out of the ashram. Angry sage cursed Lord Indra and also Ahilya. He turned her into a stone .Sage left the ashram and Ahilya is chanting Rama in the form of stone.
7.5] What did Rama do ?
Lord Rama pitied Ahilya who lay there in the form of a stone. He touched the stone and ahilya was freed from the curse and was transformed into women again. Sage returned to the ashram and accepted Ahilya as his wife.
