Hey Spooky!

Okay, so I'm watching Hostel 2 right now, and it's pretty good. I thought I would like it less than the first one because it has a backstory. I kind of liked that the first one had no story. Just these screwed up people doing this horrible sh*t for no good reason at all. But I kind of like that this one has a story. And I especially like the twist.

But this one is all loaded up with people I recognize. D-list celebrities, to be sure, but I recognize them. There's the "Welcome to the Dollhouse" girl, and the psycho dude from "Desperate Housewives", Richard Burgi... The most disturbing one was the guy that takes Bijou Phillips off. I knew I recognized him, and suddenly it hit me. Viktor Krum from Harry Potter!!! That's f*cked up! lol

The only part I hate so far is that Roth actually named a character Mrs. Bathory, and actually went for the whole Countess Elizabeth Bathory thing. I'm just not into using Eli Roth for my lessons in the history of psychos.

I was thinking of renting it again today, so this is kinda cool that you're watching it now! LOL
The Bathory thing didn't bother me just because I figured it's not so much HIS use of a tired cliche, but that someone out there WOULD. That guy I dated in Texas was like that and all into the folklore that surrounded her. He even tried to say that his daughter had the woman's blood! What a freak!
I didn't know the guy who took ol girl was from Harry Potter and I only recently got hooked on Desperate Housewives.
BUT, this behind the scenes photo has become one of my favorites!

Hell, I think I love her as much as he does! LOL

After thinking more about it, I'm also just not buying the whole Bathory thing. I mean, have you seen that building they are in?!? I worry that if a chainsaw got loose, it would bring the whole place crashing down. It's just a wee bit dilapidated. But right in the middle is this fairly nice room with candles and neck roll pillows, and a sunken bathtub? Damn! Fix the rest of the place up! lol Furthermore, WHY is there a bathtub there??? Does this one lady really spend enough there to justify the building of a sunken tub just for herself? There's not a lot of reason for that to be in that building, which makes it seem like a custom add-on just for her. 'Cause I just can't see it being THAT popular of a request. They never offered the boys that option in the weapons room. ;)

Regardless, it wasn't enough to diminish the movie for me. I personally would have edited it out, but ehhh. Not my movie to do so. :)

and you'll be frightened to know this - it does make perfect sense that they'd put this nice tube in and sort of "nice up" the room just for her. Not only did she pay big time for the bath.......well, back home I knew two women who ran the largest of the escort agencies in town. Through them and the strip club I worked in I met a lot of the girls. Let me tell ya, they'd go out and buy all sorts of props and outfits just for a certain client. And, they'd likely never use it again! So, it's not as out there as you'd think! LOL

The sad part is that someone like me - who's lived a very diferent kind of life - and Eli Roth are probably the only ones who'd not need to be talked into it being accpetable! Ah, we're a couple of freaks, huh? I wonder if we're related.........
