I’ve just finished sifted through the freezer and the kitchen, looking for food that we can spare. I’ve come up with a lot, a frozen pork tenderloin, muffin mix, spaghetti sauce, frozen hamburger and some weight control oatmeal that I’ll never touch to name a few.

This time of year many of us are looking through our cabinets gathering can goods for the less fortunate. For me this year my sister is one of the less fortunate. I’m packing up all of these “goods� to bring over to my sister’s house.

Recently my sister and her husband separated. He had started doing drugs. Now she’s left with her two kids to feed, bills to pay and no way to do it. The holidays are a hard time of year for a lot of people. It’s going to be a really tough year for my sister.
