Help me to answer this question

The question was put to me by a 4-year-old girl, who is my neighbor. She was on her way from church. As I do not go to church or any other religious place, she always comes to inform me about the happenings in the church. She feels as if I had missed something really by not going to the church.

The priest had given a sermon about peace. I feel he had mentioned about the happenings in Lebanon. My little neighbor gave a detailed account about the need for peace.

But then suddenly she stopped and asked me a question… Why can’t the god provide us peace? Why can’t the god stop wars?
