Health insurance

Being that I am self employed, I am not able to get insurance through my employer. I have researching rates for various insurance companies, and I can't believe how much it has sky rocketed in the last few years.

For example, to get a good insurance with a good deductible through blue cross and blue shield, I am looking at close to $200.00 a month. That is not including the $20.00 copay and $15.00/30.00 copay for prescriptions.

So if I ended up going to the doctor twice in one month, I am looking at maybe close to $350.00 including insurance and co pays.

That's ridiculous.

Along with gas prices, medical costs are obscene. I can see why it's getting impossible for some people to have health insurance. Most of your monthly pay would go to medical expenses. I guess the insurance companies say forget paying the rest of your bills and keeping a roof over your head. Just give your checks to us.
