HDMI Basics

You have probably ran into the problem of getting your new play station 3, an HD-TV, HD-DVD player or Blu-Ray and it not working after you hooked everything up. That’s because of a little port called HDMI which is what an HDMI cable fits into in the back of your television. Basically what HDMI does is allows the picture and quality to be amplified and clearer. When you had a standard definition television the ratio of picture was 4:3 and the picture was pixilated. With a high definition television your picture ratio is 16:9 and the picture is translated as zero and ones. An HDMI port connects the high-bandwidth between digital devices which can complete your home theater system. Because of HDMI your usage of cables and even remotes is dramatically lessened.
