Have Christians Been Wrong for 2000 Years? According to Matthew 16:13 KJV..."When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am?

14And they said, Some say that thou art John the Baptist: some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets.

15He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am?

16And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.

17And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.

18And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

19And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

20Then charged he his disciples that they should tell no man that he was Jesus the Christ."

Jesus is clearly referring to Peter as the head of the church. But is the church today the church of Peter and the early Christian Fathers?

No. For the last 2,000 years the Christian Church has been built on the doctrine of one man and one man only....Saul of Tarses....Paul.

What's wrong with that? You Say?

Plenty.

Paul had his own agenda. He made himself a disciple. His conversion story changed everytime he told it. He took the Jewishness out of Christianity and replaced it with Hellanism. He disputed the very words of Jesus and the Christian Founding Fathers of the faith.

You want an example?

Paul said that it is by faith alone that men are saved.
He gave his interpretation in the following scripture: KJV : Romans 4
"1What shall we say then that Abraham our father, as pertaining to the flesh, hath found?

2For if Abraham were justified by works, he hath whereof to glory; but not before God.

3For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness.

4Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt.

5But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.

6Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works,

7Saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered

Jesus own brother James had this to say about faith: James 2:14 " 14What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him?

15If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food,

16And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit?

17Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.

18Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.

19Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.

20But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?

21Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar?

22Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect?

23And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God.

24Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only.

Paul and James are in direct conflict. Who do we believe? James who was the brother of Jesus? or Paul a self suscribed apostle born out of his own Hellanistic faith?

The early church fathers laid down the foundation of the church. They were very clear about it. It is your job as a christian to return to the bare essentials of that church and accept the true teachings of Jesus according to Jesus. When there is conflict....read what the early fathers said. When there is conflict find what Jesus said about it. Take the time to read the 4 gospels and James and Peter. Take the time to learn.
