Gujarat still smells of blood
It still smells of blood ,just refuses to leave .Images refuse to fade out ,they are engraved in time .I wonder why ,just cant find any answeres ...I am not the only one ,many are in search of these answeres.
The Gujarat Riots took place 5 years ago but the wounds haven't yet heeled nor has the blood cooled down to revenge the death of every single Kar sevak .
The rioter aren't satisfied with the taste of blood . I believe there is still more to come. Gujarat Riots 2002 saw some unimaginable stories of brutalities committed .A pregnant women raped by 14 men her stomach ripped open and the fetus pulled out with a trishul ,women striped naked by mobs ,children thrown into a live fire , charred bodies, what more do u need to understand the extent the politics of hate has reached .Yes the politics of hate .Where young men are trained to defend the country from so called invaders who are the very own citizens of this country .They decide the faith of a person by the mere religious identity. Where basic humanity is over looked and man is nothing more than a representation of a religious identity .An identity that crated a sharp divide. This divide has led to innumerous scars.
What worries me most is that those who survived the riots need very strong self healing powers , India has forgotten Gujarat ,like the many riots the country has seen this one too passed away ...we assume these incidents are best buried. The media has moved on another set of new headline, new breaking stories. Then who reminds us of what’s still happening in Gujarat.
Those who survived to see the atrocities committed to their nears ones ,are left with deep wounds ,that refuse to heel because the every administration that commits to providing equal justice has been communalized .The care takes have become the offenders. A mother lived on to tell the story how her daughter was raped while a mob of men stood enjoying the scene .A child grows up knowing the price you have to pay to be a Muslim in a secular country when he saw the women of his house being stripped naked and shopped. Are these wounds going to heel with the passage of time or will they erupt into uncontrollable revenge .Will the son that saw his mother being raped ever grow up with a sound mind or will he take revenge and makes those men account for every drop of blood that split.
This cycle of hate and revenge will wheel its self into the veins of this country ultimately leading into a complete paralysis of the entire state and administration. It time our voices are heard, not secular v/s hindutva but mere human voices.
