In a court just about an hour away, a man and women were found guilty of selling a 12-year-old girl in exchange for rent.
The man, Dean Sacco, was found guilty on all charges, which include buying a child for sex, sex trafficking of a child and possessing and producing child pornography. He was the landlord. The mother, Linda O'Connor, was found guilty of all charges except possession of child pornography and one of the two counts of coercing a minor to produce pornography.
I know the economy is getting rougher and all, but it's just difficult to believe that anyone would be pimping out their own child for favors like this. Of course, I'm also the guy who posted a couple of weeks ago the story of the couple who trained their 12 year old to be a dominatrix so she could be put to work for them, so I know anything is possible.
Is it just me, or does there seem to be more stories like this these days? Is it getting more prevalent, or is it really just that we're starting to hear more about it, kind of like domestic violence and autism, both of which have always been around, but also both of which no one ever used to talk about
Sick; that's all I can say.
