Grey's Anatomy: The beginning Blog

19 episodes into the second season, Grey's anatomy comtinues to dive into the rawest existence of not just men and women surgeons but also men and women from all walks of life. In this most recent episode, we looked into the extent of people's selfishness, and a delightful play on karma. We saw that it just may be true that the nice guy finishes last, even the confident ones get jealous, women typically make it harder for themselves, and even the ones you think would be the hardest to love end up being the best.

Let's start with my personal favorite, George. George, the nice guy who finishes last, constantly struggling to gain a hint of respect as a man. From day one George was in love with Meredith Grey! Living in the same house as Mereidith, George did everything in his power in order to impress Meredith in any way. He even bought the girls tampons, AND when other guys crapped on those girls, he was there for them, they even would sleep in his bed for comfort. George is definitly the all around nice guy, almost let himself become the gay friend, even though he is not gay. What I think George's problem is, is that girls for some reason like challenges, they love and yearn for the unattainable or the lets call it "the fixer-upper" man. I think it is their nuturing gene kicking in or something. Well in episode 18, George set out to cross that line, break down that barrier, become George the SEX GOD MAN! So he marched into Meredith's room, spoke from his heart, told her that he would always love her and that he would never hurt her. He said it all right, and all truthfully, and Meredith slept with him. And it turned out ugly, as you know the crying. I felt bad for Georgie! All he wanted was to be with Meredith, and to be happy. It's all good he just go tthe # of another Dr. who helped him with his dislocated sholder...Keep on movin' on Georgie boy!! Which brings me to the whiny, self-wallowing, annoying little pity whore MEREDITH.

Meredith, not gonna lie, loved her when the show started, I think Ellen Pompeo is a gorgeous actress, she has a unique look to her, and she has a kind and gentle demeaner. BUT HOLY CRAP can she get any more annoying complaining about this and complaining about that! Ok granted, if you see a guy get blown up and have all his guts spewed all over your face, you have a right to be a little upset with your current situation. BUT, this girl is running a rampage through that hospital leaving a wake of upset, let down individuals. She goes to her father's house just to ask him why he left, but then doesn't try to make any peace with him, ummm HELLO YOUR MOM CHEATED why didn't SHE TRY TO MAKE THINGS RIGHT?? But I guess it is easier for her to blame the father since he was not around. And for the love of God, will someone please tell her to get over "McDreamy" Dr. Shepherd! Really? I have talked to so many girls and they are all hoping that she gets back together with Shepherd, ok the guys is an ass, he just likes everyone to like him. Has to make sure everyone likes him, so in the most recent episode he gets closer with his wife, Addison, after she gets Poison Oak all over her Vag, and then now wants to be just friends with Meredith and hang out. Believe me, I used to be a guy just like that, couldn't say no to anyone, just tried to figure out a way to make everyone happy. Word of advise, doesn't work. And Meredith is what I mean by women always yearning for the one they can't get, but hurting the one that would give them the moon. Poor George. If Meredith had balls, George should kick her in them. She started crying during sex!! Crying?? She had sex with all those random guys and all of a sudden she crys when having sex with Georgie boy. Ok, maybe I am impartial but you can't deny that Meredith has really gotten a little out of control. And the fact is....Addison and Derek aren't divorcing, they are just gonna grom closer. They passed the ultimate test, the return of the dirty homewrecker.

As for Christina and Burke's relationship. All I have to say is, probs to Burke for tamin that wild bronco of negativity. Probably one of the best comic reliefs in the show, along with George, Dr. Yang, reminds me of a girl I used to date and still talk to, which gives me extra pleasure to see how she manages a relationship with Burke. Christina began as probably the most relationship-phobic person, not only on the show, but maybe in the whole world. At times, she can be overly blunt and lack total use of subtlety, but yet you still can't help but like her. And I will tell you why. She is one of the few people in the show that actually is improving herself. Now, one must admit that a lot of that has to do with Burke, but the fact that she is willing to change and that she IS changing is astounding. The girl I am tlaking too, well haven't gotten her to the changing part yet...I'll keep you updated. Now, Dr. Burke, he's pretty much my hero. Not only is he a bad ass surgeon, no he is also just as bold in his private life. I sometimes watch the show and take notes on how he handles his relationship with Christina, the guy knows how to get the girl to be with him. He took this pack rat, relationship phobe, insensitive, cut throat surgeon, and got her to move in with him and drop her lease at the other apartment!! Oh probs to the Burke, yes sirrrr! My favorite part was when he walked into the room, and told her who he was and that he loved her and he wanted her to be there with him, but he would accept nothing less. Man has some brass testicles, big round brass testicles. I'm hoping to grow a pair of those one day. Oh yea, and now George is sleeping on their couch, good times ;)!!

As for Chief Webber, well he really didn't do anything this episode, but we know he was bangin Grey's mama and you just know she is gonna find out. Someone smell a season finale???? He might have his plate full soon enough, especially with whiny lil Meredith finding out....gag me.

Baily, oh yes Baily, the Moses of the surgical interns. She leads them, and yells at them, and pushes them and drives them. Well its all good, but now she is on medical leave. Dr. Shepherd saved her husband's life and the other Dr. Shepherd saved her babies, with the help of course from the good hearted, Georgie boy!!! I love Baily's character, she puts forth this no bull, I got everything in control persona, but we finally got to see that fasade crumble during the scary events involving her husband and another guy with a bonb in her chest. Now we get to see the hard, teacher Baily, but also the nuturing "just became a mother" Baily, who at times needs help from others as well. Can't wait till she gets backl from leave. This episode she helped Addison with the little poison oak problem she was having. Very generous of her.

And finally, Izzie and Alex. Ok so Izzie needs sex, Alex, a man whore gives sex, seems like a match made in heaven. Well probably, if Alex hadn't cheated on Izzie with a nurse earlier this season. But Izzie has the animal inside her and she's got to feed it, so she does. Now one would think, ahhhh no problem for Alex, he likes feeding the beast, in fact he rather feed the beast only, and not have to be emotinally tied to it. And here we see that even the most arrogant guys get jealous too. Denny is back, with heart problems of course, and Izzie is right by his side the moment he arrives. You can tell that Izzie has feelings for Denny, and Alex isn't blind either. But the problem is, is that Alex thinks that Izzie has forgiven him and that they are together, when I think that Izzie is just feedin the beast. Look for this to escalate in the coming episodes. I was shocked that Alex was so petty in his jealousy that he asked to hold the padels when shocking Denny in order to get his heart to slow down. THE MAN IS DIEING ALEX!! You really feel threatened? Alex better watch himself, he is inching into good graces with Izzie again, if he scres this up, it is done FOREVER!!! Izzie meanwhile, seems just to bounce around at the moment trying to make herself happy, and you know what, good for her. Sometimes in life you need to make yourself happy. Maybe Derek Shepherd could take some notes, and stop worrying about everyone else.

And for episode 19 I rank the Characters as follows:
George: Best Hearted
Meredith: Most annoying/whiney/self pitying
Yang: Most selfimproved
Burke: Bravest and Boldest
Shepherd, D : Biggest pussy, stop trying to make everyone happy
Shepherd, A: Most deserving of a second chance (A REAL 2nd CHANCE!!)
Baily: Coolest Surgeon/Mom
Chief: Most in danger of being yelled at soon
Izzie: Most self gratifing
Alex: The biggest jealousy weiny ever

From now on I will do the blog after each episode, but only over that episode.
