Greetings to All!

Hello. I am new to Blogger Pary. I have one question aimed at those who have wondered over from WritingUp. Do you post the same content on both sites?

I write two blogs at WritingUp. I write about my job in EMS, of which I was hoping, at one time, to lure other healthcare professionals and hopefully police and firefighters into the stream of conversation. It has worked with varying degrees of success.

I write a second blog with content consisting of anything that is on my mind. History, liberal politics, and original poetry are a few of the subjects I enjoy writing about.

But I think I read once that it is not a good idea to post the same content on multiple sites. Apparently, this is not ‘search engine appropriate’ behavior.

Do any of the writers here at Bogger Pary have any thoughts on this? Let me know. Thank you for reading

Duplicate content

Many people say duplicating content lowers your rankings in search engines. But, think about all these article sites and whatnot that have the same content on hundreds of sites, and yet they are #1 in searches all the time.

I personally think it's a bit of an overhyped myth, or at least not as big of a deal as many people make it out to be.

On that note, though, I think it's annoying when people post the same things here as they do elsewhere. I'd suggest writing on a new topic, or just moving here completely. ;)

Content.

Thank you for responding. It is tough to come up with content everyday. The temptation to post to multiple sites is a bit overwhelming.

I'm all for the latter option

But who cares if the site is better, anyway?

It doesn't matter.

I simply want reads. Thank you for reading and commenting.
