Great Car Insurance

Personally I don't like shopping for car insurance but carinsurance.com was very good for online auto insurance- you gotta do what you gotta do!!!

I've compared the plans and they're both pretty good but I actually do save alot with GEICO and they're available in my state - infact all 50 states. At this site I found great quotes in my area and if I preferred I could have even called representative to help me out.

But I found this most intesting - Tips on how to keep your car and family protected against theft and carjackings.

*Obviously, keep your car locked at all times - especially when driving. I always lock my doors because of my daughters in the back seat! And when I leave the car I close all of my windows too.

*Park in the well-lit busy areas in parking lots - I wouldn't get out of my car if it wasn't in a really well lit area!

*Get an ani-theft system - something that will even lock the steering wheel and cut off ignition systems.

*Don't leave any valuables, animals or children in the car even if only for less than a minute!!!

*A new, or at least new to me, way of stealing cars is the "bump and rob" - when they bump your car and when you get out to look - they steal it.

*Make sure you stop in a populated area or just get the licence plate and call the police for help

*Don't leave your title or registration in the car....although many people do...just something to think about

*Know where you before leaving the vehical

*Don't resist a carjacker - a car isn't worth it

*Etch your vehicle identification number on all of your windows - then a thief will have to replace all the windows

Just a few tips I found quite interesting!! Remember it's just your car - easily replacable but your family isn't!
