Graceful Is As Graceful Does!
So when I got off work yesterday, I went to my friends house to stay because I am house and cat sitting for her this week.
I sat down at her computer to do some blogging...lalala, when out of the corner of my eye I see something loooong and grey come running in my direction with a cat rapidly following it!
People!! When I say I freaked, I didn't even log out...I RAN out of that house and at full tilt, ran down the driveway to my car...I was running like a Boeing 747 and couldn't quite stop in time, so I slammed into my car and dropped my keys and scattered all the stuff in my purse...meantime the kids across the street in the park are having a yahoo time laughing at me as I tried to collect myself and my belongings.
Once in my car I gunned it and screeched out of there, and as I was sitting at a red light the thought came to me that I would have no choice but to go back later for the sake of the cats....Hmmmmm....So I thought to myself "I will get my daughter to come with me, she owes me, I gave birth to her"
Later that night my daughter and I both went back to look for a dead rodent, and did NOT find one...Ahem....I am currently writing this blog from my little porch, I did leave her cats plenty of water and food...but I need to be home tonight it's good for my psyche! *Sigh*

And what a goooood kitty. Catching mice and eating them all up so there's no "leavings" to throw away. Goooood kitty. LOL!!

The goood kitties are the ones I have, and they are goooood BECAUSE they are strictly indoor kitties! I need to remember this little episode when my pal leaves town again...I may just ask her if I can come over feed the "Baaaaaad" kitties and leave..LOL.
Sassys, should you ever be cursed with a mouse in your
house (it happens to the best of people) your kitties will show you just how good they can be by chasing it and, if they are really, really goooood kitties, killing it and eating it. I once had a cat named Leon who loved to go outside and catch mice, lizards, snakes, whatever he could find. But Leon didn't kill them. Oh no, Leon brought them into the house - ALIVE - to give to his mommy! He would bring his trophy in and drop it on my feet and the trophy would then scramble away into my house. I soon learned to recognize what he sounded like with his mouth full when he cried to get in so that I could make him spit out whatever "present" he was trying to bring in to me. Now, that's a baaaaaad kitty. LOLOLOL!!!!

They had two legs!! Leon sounds like a lovable enough kitty, however I would constantly be worried that he would be wanting to leave me a little presento:( My kitties are really good at catching and killing gigantor roaches...and that is waaaaaay cool:)
Leon was a wonderful kitty. I named him after
Leon Russell because of his blue eyes. He was an absolute darling - and left me with lots of really good kitty stores. LOL!
If your kitties catch and kill those humongous roaches then I bet they'd be really good at catching and killing mice. My cats always seem to enjoy mice so much more than roaches or crickets - although they'll take a cricket if that's all that's available. :-D

That rodents and bugs are about the only thing that scare the crap out of me...anyone stupid enough to attempt to attack me physically better hope they have a gun, and then they better hope they have a damn good shot:)

Sassys are you really that freaked out over
a mouse or rat? I dont know why, I get startled by them, but I am not scared of them. I have good cats that always get a mouse or two every winter. Come to think of it, I dont remember any mice last winter. They just dont bother me. But your description of you running full on into your car and dropping your keys, and trying to get away as fast as you could, as if it were Michael Meyers chasing you, is funny-- I was just giggling my butt off!!(sorry - lol)
