havent heard of that before but it sounds cool! i have a total brown thumb and cant seem to keep any plants alive....i am gonna have to look into this!

I seriously wouldn't mind several more. I want one for salad greens (that's what I have growing now), one for herbs, one for a salsa garden, and one for other things. It's all aeroponic and organic. The seed pods run about $20 a package, which seemed a little steep to me at first, but I did a little math. The salad will grow about 3-4 months and it's the exact same blend as I like. The kind I like is about $6 every 3 days. So it's not a bad deal. Not to mention, I can grow strawberries in the middle of winter. Mmmmm.

See, I've totally bought into their cult. :D

I think you did pretty good on the wait cause the one I saw was pretty darned expensive. I've been wanting one for herbs so that I can have fresh herbs all winter long.

Just don't post too many other good things that your hubby does. You'll have me changing my mind about men and then I'll go out and find another one and then the fat will be in the fire again. LOL!

But like I said, the seed pods work out in my favor. Also, if I was to buy the same salad blend at the farmer's market, it's $10 per pound. YIKES!! And that will only get me a few days. I figure that the whole machine will pay for itself within the first crop. Plus, fresh herbs are SO expensive at the store.

There are three different machines though, so pay attention to which one you're getting. The one I got was the basic version. There is also a pro edition and one that lets you grow full-size veggies like bell peppers and full-sized tomatoes. The pro version tells you what stage the seeds are in, and when to change the light bulbs (every six months). Totally unnecessary. The taller machine costs about a hundred more than the regular machine. But you can buy an upgrade kit from their site, so this is unnecessary also. Upgrade later.

Finally, if you have just a hint of dishonesty, you can try and game the system. Get a Linen's and Things coupon for 20% off an item. It says that Aerogrow is not included, but you're counting on the clerk to read the fine print. If it rings up at full price, pull a "Oops, missed that." Otherwise, Bed, Bath, and Beyond honors competitor's coupons, so find one that gives you half off any one item and cash it in. :D

Sometimes I don't have a clue why we're together. He's this straight-laced corporate type, and I'm his punk wife with a foul mouth. lol But we're not quite done with each other yet. When we got married, we didn't have any traditional vows. The one thing we swore to each other was that we would be together "as long as love shall last." So every day, I've got to wake up, look at him, and decide, "Do I still love him?" So far, the answer has always been yes.
