Has anyone checked their Google PR lately?

I just checked mine, and it has changed. They must have updated their PR again.

They are really making a big effort to knock all paid bloggers down to a big, fat 0.

I would imagine they are doing this in the hopes of eventually getting everyone that makes money for companies like Blogsvertise, etc. Basically, anyone that accepts paid blog postings. They are doing this because they realize advertisers want blogs that have a high PR. If they are able to get the majority of these blogs that accept these types of posts, then eventually there will be no blogs that advertisers will accept.

Really, advertisers ought to realize that Google is doing this. Advertisers should look at the fact that Google is making every effort to know any paid blogs out. It doesn't make sense to me that advertisers don't get this.

As far as I know, it doesn't matter if you are hosting your own blog or using a place like BloggerParty, etc. I'm not 100% sure on this, so someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

I personally don't see anything wrong with someone making a little money from their blogs by writing about other's websites. It's like TV. Even the best shows have commercials. We may hate commercials, but we still have them. As long as the majority of a person's blog is interesting writing, what does it matter if it's interrupted with an advertisement here and there?

If advertisers that use these services don't stop judging people's blogs based on PR, eventually there are not going to be many blogs that meet their requirements. The middle guys (or websites) that hook up advertisers with bloggers will go out of business. Not to mention, interest in blogging is going to go way down.

If anyone has any tips or ideas on keeping your PR up, please share them. Google is getting way out of hand with their bad boy tactics. I liked the older days of internet much better!
