Good Blogging is More than Words

Like every business, I think blogging isn't just typing some words and wishing someone reads and comments about it and clicks your links.
I am sure that bloggers put a value on their work as much as you do.Having people read your blog means MORE than simply placing some hyperlink, it means making them WANT to do it. For them to WANT to do it however, I think that it all boils down to "blogging diplomacy" and "blogging PR" which generally means YOU READ THEIR BLOGS TOO and you TAKE THE TIME TO COMMENT ON IT.
Why should you? Because the fact that you leave a comment TELLS THEM that you cared enough to read THEIR WORK. For instance, I do have another blog at blogcharm and I make it a POINT to read every new entry on MY FRIEND's list.I also make it a point to ADD everyone who puts me in their list.
Commenting on other blogs is not difficult. It doesn't cause you ANYTHING and you USUALLY gain something - like, you learn too:) Click their OTHER blogs too so you know who the other blogger is and her/his interests because it doesn't HURT to read for instance Sharon's Associated Content Blog and find out MORE about the state of feminism or her perception of Romeo and Juliet! (Yep.. I did click Sharon..left you some good commnents too !) Commenting on the blog of othrs tells them "I appreciate your blog, I read it and you did a good work". After all, I do NOT know everything!Neither does anyone else, I guess.
Everyone has the "need" to feel a sense of importance- it is a basic need. If one comment or a click and a comment can give "the other blogger" THAT, then by all mens, STOP BLOGGING for an hour or two, and READ other blogs. In doing so, you build up good freindships and a network of other bloggers --- pragmatically, that's good business sense because you are actually "selling" your blog.
Do to other bloggers as you would want them to do to you --- the shorter version.

I figure this: If I'm going to take the time to read a blog I might as well say something about it. Yes, you're right. You definately do build readership by commenting. Even if you don't awlays agree!

I agree. I like when people leave comments on my blogs too.
