Well, it's probably about time. A state senator in Nebraska has filed a lawsuit against God to cease certain harmful activities and the making of terroristic threats.

This is intriguing, but of course it's a stunt. The honorable senator says he's filing the suit to highlight the fact that there's a lot of frivolous lawsuits, and he wants them stopped. His main motivation seems to be a lawsuit that was filed against a judge last year because the victim of sexual assault wanted the right to use the words 'rape' and 'victim' in her trial, which usually aren't allowed.

Still, for someone like me, I'm thinking it's about time someone decided to blame God for all these bad things that are going on in the world. I mean, has to be God's fault because, as the lawsuit proclaims, God is supposed to be onmipresent, and I think I remember something about being omnipotent somewhere along the line. It all has to be God's fault, right? I mean, people being responsible for themselves, and for the bad things that happen in this world; no way! We can't be to blame for all the things we do to ourselves and others, especially if you believe in God. Since God is used to absolve all sin and blame, then it must be God's fault.

I applaud the senator for his bravery; course, it will be interesting to see whether he gets money for it, since I'm thinking trying to find a jail to put God in would be a waste of time.

Of course, this is tongue in cheek from me, even if I am a non-believer. Suing God; sheesh!
