Global warming - the end of the seasons?

Submitted by mailboxmoney on April 8, 2007 - 11:44am.

Global warming is moving on fast Here in Europe it was that hot you could sunbathe in London 2 weeks ago. It snowed the next week and has kind of stayed at freezing level now for about 2 weeks. They say its going to be 1 of the hottest summers ever with temperatures of 90 in London and over 110 in Europe but with this weather I cant believe it. Still it's Easter Sunday and hot here in London so things are looking up
What do you know about Global Warming? Is this the end of the traditional seasons winter in summer and summer in winter?

The Peach Crop is Ruined!

It looks like the politicians are finally taking their heads out of the sand and starting to listen to the scientists who have been warning us about global warming for some time now. Al Gore's presentation should make any non-believer change his mind.

Where I live in Illinois many fruit growers depend on the peach and apple crops for a living. This year the peach trees bloomed and a couple of days later temperatures dropped into the low 20's F. Most all of the blooms were frozen and now there won't be a peach crop this year. The apple trees were also damaged by the freeze, but not quite as much.

My red bud and dog wood trees usually have beautiful flowers gracing their branches and all of the buds froze and we may have lost the red bud tree. All of the flowering trees suffered this spring.

Now there are reports that the honey bees are dying out. Some claim that it is due to all of the Cell Phone Towers and the frequencies that they operate at are driving the bees nuts. Then again there weren't many flowers on the fruit trees to feed the bees so they could make honey.

Ford and GM are hurting big because they didn't try to keep up with Toyota and start building hybrid automobiles. They concentrated on the building the big gas guzzling SUVs and pickup trucks that dump tons of poluting particles in the air daily. Now they are hurting bad financially. They better get their heads out of the sand also.

Just my opinions.
